Here's what you need to know when checking in or out a customer's luggage.

Bounce has partnered with various local businesses, such as hotels and shops, to provide secure luggage storage options for travelers. These storage options are safe and convenient - making sure customers' items are in the hands of business partners with strict security protocols. In return, we want to make sure you get paid for your service.


Here are the answers to frequently asked questions about checking in and out a customer's luggage:

What happens if I don't check in or check out a reservation?

We created this process to make sure our partners get properly paid for the service they provide. If you don't check in and check out a reservation, you won't receive your commission, as the Bounce team won't have a way to verify the service actually happened.

What happens if the customer wants to leave more bags than what was originally booked?

Before checking in a customer, you can change the number of bags in their reservation, or you can ask the customer to do it themselves via the app. In the Partner Portal, tap on the customer’s reservation to edit.

What happens if the customer doesn't pick up their bags at the booked check-out time?

Please be patient. If it’s near your store’s closing time, reach out to us, and we will contact the customer and find out what’s going on.

Can my employees check in and check out luggage as well?

Yes! You'll need to give your employees access to the Partner Portal. You can adjust their permissions so that they can only check in and check out bags. Read this article for more details: Specifying Owner and Employee Permissions.

How do I check in a customer if I cannot log in to the Partner Portal?

Please make sure you use the same email address or phone number you used when signing up as a Bounce partner. You don't need a password to enter the Partner Portal, you will receive a confirmation code through your email or phone number. If this is not working for you, please reach out to us.

What happens if something goes wrong while checking in or checking out a customer?

Reach out to partnersupport@usebounce.com immediately and tell us what happened. We will get it sorted for you.
