Learn how to edit the number of active employee seats on a client's Payroller subscription as an agent with our simple guide below.

Step 1: First make sure that the Active employee count matches the number of employee seats you would like to subscribe for.

If you have any employees that do not require a paid seat please Deactivate the employee from the client's People Page.

Step 2: Next Increase or decrease the number of seats by selecting the 'ellipses' of your client’s card in the Agent Portal.

Step 3: Select ‘Billing’.

Step 4: Select the number of employee spots.

If you do not have this option your client may not have given you access to their subscription.

You can edit the card details and select ‘Agent pays’ so that you as the agent are in charge of the subscription or request your client to give you access to edit the number of seats.

Step 5: Edit the amount and select ‘Next’.

Please note: If you increase the number of employee spots, you will automatically be charged for the additional spots the day you make the upgrade. This will be charged up until the end of the current subscription.

If you reduce the number of employee spots, you will be charged at the reduced number of spots from your next payment date.

Step 6: Review the payment amount and select ‘Confirm’.
