How to Restart Perifit Care(+) Training After a Break

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Life happens — routines shift, and sometimes pelvic floor training takes a backseat. If you’ve taken a break from using Perifit Care(+), don’t worry: it’s completely normal.

The good news? It’s never too late to start again — and your body will remember more than you think!

Here’s how to get back into your training routine gently and effectively.

Start slow and in a comfortable position

Begin in a low-pressure position to help you ease back in:

  • Lying down if you’re using Perifit Care

  • Sitting upright on a hard chair for Perifit Care+

Keep your sessions short to start — aim for 2 to 3 sessions of about 5 minutes (or 2 games) per week.

Don’t worry if your scores feel lower at first — that’s completely normal. Your main focus should be contraction quality.

💡 Try using the Kegel Coach, Picasso game, or Practice Lab to reconnect with your pelvic muscles and rebuild technique.

Recalibrate frequently

After a break, your muscles may not hold a calibration for long — and that’s okay. If you notice the game character stops responding quickly or seems less responsive, recalibrate.

We recommend:

  • Recalibrating before each game

  • Recalibrating during a game, if needed

With time, your muscles will regain endurance and be able to hold the same calibration longer.

Adjust your training program

Make sure your current program matches your current needs:

  • Update your health targets: Settings > My health information > My health targets

  • Level down if needed:

    • Settings > My program

    • Tap on your current objective (Ex: Objective 2 - Basics of Contraction Quality)

    • Scroll to the bottom and tap the level card

    • Choose the level you want to return to and confirm

⚠️ Note: When you level down manually, previously unlocked levels will be locked again until you collect the required number of perfect contractions to unlock them again.

Once your program is adjusted, follow it step-by-step and trust the process.

Be kind to yourself

You haven’t lost all your progress — your body has muscle memory!
It’s okay to restart slowly. Just by deciding to pick up training again, you’re already doing something great for your health. Keep going — you've got this!
