My Perifit Care moves or slides in/out
Updated over a week ago

Have you experienced your Perifit probe moving or sliding in/out during your training sessions? It can be uncomfortable and affect the accuracy of your readings, leading to frustration and challenges in achieving your training goals.

Cause

Perifit movement during training can be attributed to various factors:

  • The shape and design of the Perifit Care device, which may not perfectly align with your anatomy.

  • Prolapse: Your organs will be pushing down on the Perifit Care, which is pretty normal

  • Intra-abdominal pressure from other parts of the body, such as the abdominals or buttocks, which can inadvertently push the device out of place.

Solution

To prevent Perifit movement and ensure a more comfortable and effective training experience, consider the following tips:

  • Wear underwear above your Perifit probe to provide additional support and stability during training. Ensure that the antenna (white or purple tail) remains exposed and directed towards your stomach for optimal connection. If that doesn't do the trick, try holding your Perifit Care in place with your fingers.

  • If comfortable, insert your Perifit device without using lubricant. The device is made of medical-grade silicone and should allow for smooth insertion without the need for lubrication.

  • Experiment with different training positions to find what works best for you. Training while lying flat on your back or on your side (with Perifit Care) or sitting (with Perifit Care+) may help minimize movement and keep the device in place.

  • Pay attention to your pelvic floor contractions and try to isolate them from surrounding muscle movements. Focus on maintaining proper technique and control throughout your training session. You can use the Kegel Coach to refine your technique

  • If you're using Perifit Care+, consider using the silicone ring included in your original packaging or, if you didn’t get one, reach out to our support team so we can send you one. Placing the ring at the base of the device's tail can help keep it stable and prevent movement during training.

By implementing these strategies and being mindful of your body's movements, you can minimize Perifit movement and maximize the effectiveness of your training sessions.
