How do AI credits work?

Every Perspective plan comes with a monthly AI credits allowance. AI credits power the AI features inside Perspective, like AI Block and AI funnels. This article covers what AI credits are, how they refresh, and how you can top them up.

AI credits are only consumed when you actively use an AI feature, for example, when you generate the content for an AI Block or create an AI funnel. Manual edits to funnels do not consume AI credits.

Creating and editing AI funnels in your AI assistant via MCP or directly in Perspective uses AI credits that are included in your Perspective plan.

Each AI request consumes AI credits proportional to the work behind it. Longer outputs, more complex prompts, and certain features cost more. The AI credits counter updates per request, so you can see exactly what each operation costs.

AI Funnel creation typically costs around 15-30 AI credits, depending on the funnel's length, complexity, and the number of pages. This covers the first version of the funnel only - follow-up edits use additional AI credits. An AI Block generation uses around 1-4 AI credits depending on the complexity of the request.

Your plan comes with a set number of AI credits per month, and they are already included in your plan's price. Here's how many AI credits each plan includes:

AI Credits allowance on Perspective legacy plans:

The number of AI credits resets every month on your billing day. For example, if your Perspective account renews every month on the 5th, your AI credits allocation will also refresh on the 5th.

If you're on a yearly plan, your AI credits will still reset every month on your billing day.

You can check your AI credit balance at any time in Settings → Subscription → AI Credits. You'll see two balances side by side: your plan usage for the current billing month with its reset date, and your top-up AI credits balance, which doesn't reset and only goes down as you use it.

If you want to have more AI credits in your account, you have three options:

A one-off top-up of AI credits is a single, one-time purchase, not a subscription. In case of one-off top-ups, an AI credit costs 0.25 in your plan's currency (€0.25, $0.25, or £0.25) regardless of package size, and the credits are added to your account right after purchase.

Unlike your plan's monthly allowance, one-off top-up credits don't reset on your billing date. They stay on your account and are only drawn on once your monthly plan credits run out, so nothing is lost if you don't use them all in one billing cycle.

Recurring AI credits add-ons work differently: they add extra AI credits to your plan as a recurring monthly add-on. They cost 0.25 in your plan's currency (€0.25, $0.25, or £0.25) per credit/month on monthly billing, or 0.22 per credit/month on yearly billing.

The recurring AI credits add-on lands in your account every month alongside your plan's regular allocation, and like the rest of your plan's allowance reset each billing month. Recurring AI credits top-ups aren't available on legacy plans, but one-off top-ups are.

If you hit your AI credits limit, your funnels, leads, and everything outside of AI features continue to work normally. Only the AI generation features pause until your AI credits reset or you add more AI credits to your account. Manual edits to individual funnel elements remain available and do not require AI credits.
