If an AI tool like Claude built you a funnel as an HTML file, you don't have to rebuild it in Perspective from scratch. Import your HTML file into Perspective, and it'll be turned into an AI funnel you can edit, publish, and track like any other one.
Perspective wraps your file in its own page structure and connects tracking to it, while keeping the design and copy you already have. Your file needs to be self-contained, meaning the styling and any scripts sit inside the HTML itself.
TL;DR
Upload one .html or .htm file at a time, up to 1 MB, with the + button, either on the New Funnel screen or in the AI Chat of a funnel you are already editing.
Perspective wraps your page in its own page structure and connects tracking to it, keeping your design and copy as they are.
One file can become several funnel pages, and afterwards you can keep editing in the AI Chat, change the page's HTML directly in the Code Mode, or restore an earlier version from Version history.
ℹ️ Importing an HTML file is a feature of the AI Funnel Editor. It isn't available in the classic (drag-and-drop) editor.
How do I import an HTML file as a new funnel?
Click New Funnel, then click the + button under the prompt box and choose Import HTML. You can also drag your file straight onto the same menu.
Pick one .html or .htm file, up to 1 MB. It appears above the prompt box as a small card showing your page's title and an HTML badge, and you can take it off again with the X on the card.
Click Submit. Perspective reads your file and starts building the funnel from it.
Your new funnel takes its name from your page's title, and opens in the AI Funnel Editor once it is ready.
How do I import an HTML file into a funnel I'm already editing?
Open your funnel, switch to the AI Chat tab, then click +.
Click Import HTML and select a file you want to upload.
Your file replaces the funnel you have open, because an uploaded file is always treated as a complete funnel rather than as a page to add.
ℹ️ Images stored on your own computer are not uploaded with the HTML file. Add them to your Media Library and place them in the funnel afterwards.
Separate CSS and JavaScript files are not supported, so any styling or scripts need to sit inside the HTML file itself.
What happens after I import an HTML file?
The AI Chat posts a summary of what it did. It names the funnel pages it created and lists any wiring it corrected, for example, two forms that shared the same tracking ID, or an answer that skipped past a page it should have passed through.
Perspective can split one HTML file into several funnel pages, so a long page with multiple steps does not have to stay a single page.
Your design and copy stay as they are. From here, you can keep editing the imported HTML funnel.
How to edit the funnel or page imported as an HTML file?
An imported funnel behaves like any other AI funnel, so you have three ways to change it.
Editing elements in the AI funnel editor
Switch to Edit Mode with the toggle in the toolbar at the bottom, then click the element you want to change. A toolbar appears for that element, where you can change text and its styling, swap an image from your media library, change an input field’s placeholder, or repoint a button or link.
Test Mode shows your funnel the way a visitor sees it, so you can click through and check that the imported pages still flow correctly.

Editing elements in the AI Chat
You can also use the AI Chat to edit your funnel. Enter in the AI Chat what you want to change in your funnel, and AI will make the changes in your funnel, which is the faster route when a change touches several of the imported pages at once.
You can also select an element in Edit Mode first. It gets passed to the chat as context, so you can just say what you want changed without describing which part of the page you mean.
ℹ️ Changes you make directly in the AI funnel editor don’t use AI credits. Any edits you make through the AI Chat use AI credits.
Editing the HTML directly
Open Code Mode in the AI funnel editor - your page’s full HTML is shown with line numbers, and you can edit it in place.
Because you imported your own file, this is the markup you uploaded, with Perspective’s page structure and tracking wrapped around it. That makes it the fastest route for a small, precise change like a class name or a tracking snippet, where describing it to the AI would take longer than just making it.
If after editing you need to go back to the earlier version of your HTML funnel, use the Version history panel on the left. It lists every version of the funnel, newest first, with the date, the time, and where that version came from, for example via AI chat.
You can open the version you need and restore it.
FAQ
Can I import more than one HTML file at a time?
Can I import more than one HTML file at a time?
No, the Import HTML picker takes one .html or .htm file per upload. The separate Upload file option in the same menu accepts several files at once, including images and PDFs, but those are given to the AI as context rather than imported as a funnel.
How big can my HTML file be?
How big can my HTML file be?
You can import one .html or .htm file of up to 1 MB at a time. If your page is larger than that, remove anything it doesn't need before importing, for example unused styles or large inline images, and add those back from your Media Library afterwards.
Will my HTML page still look the same after I import it to Perspective?
Will my HTML page still look the same after I import it to Perspective?
Yes, Perspective keeps your design, layout, and copy as they are. What it changes is the funnel wiring behind the page, like giving each form its own tracking ID or correcting a link that skipped a page, and the AI Chat tells you exactly which of those changes it made. If something still looks off, you can fix it yourself in Edit or Code Mode.
How do I go back to the earlier version of my HTML page?
How do I go back to the earlier version of my HTML page?
Open the imported HTML funnel in the editor and switch to Code Mode, then find the version you need in the Version history panel on the left and restore it. Every version is listed with its date, time, and where it came from, so the right one is easy to spot.
Can I import a page that Claude or another AI tool built for me into Perspective?
Can I import a page that Claude or another AI tool built for me into Perspective?
Yes, and this is what importing an HTML file is built for. Your file needs to be self-contained, meaning the styling and any scripts sit inside it rather than in separate CSS or JavaScript files. Perspective wraps it in its own page structure and connects tracking to it, so you can publish, host, and measure it in Perspective without losing the design the AI tool produced.
Does importing add a page to my funnel or replace it?
Does importing add a page to my funnel or replace it?
An uploaded HTML file is always treated as a complete funnel, so importing into a funnel you are editing replaces it rather than adding a page. If you want to keep what you had, restore the previous version from Version history afterwards. Importing from the New Funnel screen creates a separate funnel and doesn't touch your existing funnels.
Is importing an HTML file the same as adding an HTML block to my funnel?
Is importing an HTML file the same as adding an HTML block to my funnel?
No, these are two different things. Importing an HTML file turns a whole page into a funnel in the AI Funnel Editor, while an HTML block embeds a piece of custom code inside one page of a classic funnel.
