Overview

This guide will show you how a prospect can start, run, and close out a self-guided showing.

Start the showing

When the prospect arrives at the property, they click the link from RentEngine to start their showing

  1. If you have location verification required, they will allow location permissions

    1. If they are unable to verify their location, they will see this troubleshooting guide

  2. Once their location is verified, they will see your showing instructions for that property including the access code

  3. If they have any trouble entering the property, they can press the "I'm having trouble" button to see helpful tips for that lockbox brand and optionally contact your team via phone call

  4. Once they're in the property, they'll be able to see the property info as they walk around

Complete the showing

  1. At the end of their showing, they 'll use the same screen to leave their feedback and choose next steps

    1. Send Application: sends the application link and puts them in a follow-up sequence

    2. Still Deciding: doesn't send the application link, but puts them in a follow-up sequence

    3. Not Interested: updates their status to Not Interested and sends them a link to your other available homes

  2. Finally, they'll be reminded to turn off the lights, lock up, and return the key to the lockbox

  3. The showing is now completed and you'll see their feedback in the Command Center

If the prospect forgets to close out the showing after start it, RentEngine will automatically close out the showing 1 hour after the scheduled start time.

Additionally, if you have the feature enabled in the company showing settings, RentEngine will send the application link at that time.
