💡 Important: We recommend pairing this offer with a minimum 2-month commitment to avoid patients canceling after redeeming services.

You have asked for a way to offer the first month of a membership for free, especially to help convert new patients who are on the fence. This feature gives you an easy, flexible way to create that offer without changing how your memberships are built. It’s designed to help you grow your member base and drive more recurring revenue while keeping full control over your pricing and billing.


Step-by-Step: How to Set It Up

You’ll configure this offer using a Free Service Discount, not inside the membership build screen.

You can apply the discount through:

  • Special Offers

  • Rewards

  • Automated Offers

Instructions:

  1. Log in to the Admin Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Special Offers

  3. Create a new offer using the Free Service discount type

  4. Select a membership to include in the offer

  5. Finalize and publish the offer

This will discount the first month only. Future renewals are billed at full price.

What Is The Patient Experience

  • Patients will go through checkout to enroll and add billing information

  • The patient will enter their credit card information for future membership payments

  • If they remove the membership from their cart, the discount is not redeemed and remains available

Things to Know

Only one item type can be included in a Free Service discount (e.g., a membership only)

  • RepeatCash can be used for the first month

  • Patients cannot apply a free month to a membership they already have

  • Free Service discounts cannot apply to months beyond the first

  • Use in seasonal promotions or limited-time campaigns

  • Highlight the discount in Special Offer headlines and descriptions
