Overview
A Discover card in the Discover tab gives patients a one-tap path to leave a Google review. You control the headline, image, and review link. When patients tap Leave a review, they open your Google review page in their browser.
This article is a focused walkthrough for the Google reviews use case. For the full Discover card field reference (all call-to-action types, link formatting, and edit/reorder steps), see Create a Discover card (Admin Panel).
This article is for practice owners, managers, and admins who want more reviews without asking patients manually at checkout.
Before You Start
You must have Administrator or Manager access to create Discover cards.
Open App Builder from the left-side navigation, then select the Discover tab.
Copy your Google review page URL for each location. The link must start with
https://.Multi-location practices: If each location has its own Google review page, create one Discover card per location. Do not use a single card with one review link for all locations.
Use the location filter on the Discover page to confirm each location has its own review card after publishing.
Why It Matters
Google reviews influence new patient decisions and local search visibility:
Meet patients where they already are — in your app between visits.
Reduce front-desk friction — patients tap once instead of searching for your review link.
Scale across locations with location-targeted cards and copy.
Refresh creative seasonally without changing your shop catalog.
How It Works
Patient experience: Patients open the Discover tab, see your review card with headline and image, and tap Leave a review. The app opens your Google review URL in the device’s browser.
Leave a review CTA: Select Leave a review as the call-to-action type, then paste your Google review page URL in the link field. URLs must start with https:// or the link may not open correctly.
One link per card: Each card supports one review URL. Multi-location practices should create separate cards so patients at Location A never land on Location B’s review page.
Card visibility: Patients only see cards assigned to their location. Target each review card to the matching location (or use All Locations only when every location shares the same review URL).
Ongoing maintenance: Update the card image or headline when you run a review campaign. Reorder cards on the Discover page to keep the review request near the top during push periods.

Best Practices and Pro Tips
Ask at the right moment. Pair the in-app card with post-visit follow-up so patients review while the experience is fresh.
Use warm, human copy. A simple favor-style headline often outperforms generic “Leave us a review” text.
Keep the review link current. If Google changes your review URL, update the card immediately.
Promote the card briefly after launch. Mention the Discover tab in checkout conversation or a text campaign when you first publish the card.
Rotate other Discover content. Review cards work best when the tab also highlights services and offers, not only review requests.
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: We have three locations but one review card. Is that okay?
A: Only if all locations share the same Google review URL. Otherwise, create one card per location with the correct link for each.
Q: The link does not open when patients tap Leave a review.
A: Confirm the URL starts with https:// and opens correctly in a mobile browser. See link formatting rules in Create a Discover card (Admin Panel).
Q: Can I use a Discover card for other external links?
A: Yes. Discover cards support multiple call-to-action types (booking, shopping, videos, phone calls, and more). This article covers the Google review use case specifically.

A: No. Discover cards appear in the Discover tab for eligible patients at your practice.
Q: How do I update the image or headline later?
