How to change the return address on an individual request

Learn how to change the return address on an individual request before generating a return shipping label in Returbo.

You can send a return to a different address than your default return address.

This option is available for requests in the “Request submitted” stage.


Important

You can change the return address as long as a return shipping label has not been generated.

  • For complaints (which are always handled manually), you can always change the address.

  • For returns and exchanges, manual approval is required before changing the address if automatic label generation is enabled.

If a return label has already been generated, the address cannot be changed.


Add a new return address in Returbo

Before changing an address on a request, the new address must be added in Returbo.

  1. Go to Settings → Request settings → General

  2. Scroll down to Restock & Return address

  3. Click Add location

  4. Enter the new address

  5. Click Add location to save

You can now use this address for individual requests.


How to change the address on an individual request

  1. Open the request that is in the “Request submitted” stage.

The process depends on whether Autogenerated Return Shipping Slips is enabled.


If Autogenerate is enabled

  1. Scroll down to Return shipping

  2. Click Set return address


If labels are generated manually

  1. Scroll down to Return shipping

  2. Select the carrier

  3. Click View return address


For both cases:

  1. Choose the alternative address you want to use

  2. Click Confirm and generate label

The return label will now be generated using the selected return address.


Summary

You can change the return address on individual requests before the return label is generated.

Make sure:

  • The request is in “Request submitted”

  • The new address has been added in Settings

  • No label has been created yet
