Can a member account be setup manually if I am not able to finish the setup in the app?

The fastest and most accurate way to onboard a member is through the Pro App. The app guides you through each step and captures the information needed to set up the member's account correctly.

If for some reason you need to finish an onboarding separately after the fact, the SmartAC.com customer success team can take steps to finalize the onboard manually.

When to Use This Process

Use manual account creation when:

  • The Hub is online (connected to the internet) and sensors are communicating

  • The app-based onboarding didn't complete

  • You need to finalize the setup after leaving the job site

How to Request Manual Account Creation

Contact the SmartAC.com support team through the chat in your Pro app (Account > Help > Start Chat). Have the following information ready.

Sensor Information

  • Comfort sensor location (which room or vent)

  • Filter sensor location (where it's mounted)

  • Water sensor location (drain pan, floor, etc.)

  • Is the Water sensor related to the AC system? (Yes or No)

  • Is a Water Riser installed? (Yes or No)

If you installed any additional sensors beyond the standard kit, let the support team know. They'll walk you through manually pairing those sensors and verify the data is coming through.

Member Information

  • Member's full name

  • Member's full address

  • Member's phone number

  • Member's email address

Filter Information

  • Filter size

  • Last date the filter was changed

Your Information

  • Your name

  • Your company name

Additional Requirements

Condenser Nameplate Photo: Send a photo of the outdoor condenser's nameplate through the chat in your app. This is required to complete the member profile.

Multiple Hubs: If the home has more than one Hub installed, let the support team know. They'll need sensor locations and details for each Hub.

What Happens Next

  1. The support team will confirm they have everything needed

  2. Your member's profile will be built manually (this may take some time)

  3. You'll receive confirmation when the account is ready

  4. The member will receive their welcome email with login instructions

You don't need to stay on chat while the profile is being built. The support team will reach out to confirm when everything is complete.
