How Do I Process a Standard Australia Post Order?

This guide includes instructions for processing incoming orders, handling dangerous goods, printing labels and shipping via Australia Post.

Step 1

Go to Open Orders > Incoming Orders


Step 2

Find the order you want to process

Step 3

Press the 'Pick Items' button


Step 4

Press the ‘Print Pick List’ button to open up the print dialog

Step 5

Print the pick list

Note: Make sure you have the correct printer selected – this is usually the Brother printer.


IN-STORE PROCESS

Once the pick list has been printed, gather the products on the list, checking off items as they have been collected.


Step 6

Once you have collected all the items for the order, press ‘Proceed to Next Step’

Step 7

Select any of the product types that apply to this order

Note: Australia Post has restrictions on how certain ‘Dangerous Goods’ can be transported. If the order contains a certain amount of a particular dangerous good, you may be required to split the order across multiple parcels. Prompts will be displayed to guide you through the requirements.

Step 8

Press the ‘Package Order’ button

Step 9

Select a box/satchel size used for this order

Note: An additional parcel can be added here if required

  1. Select an option from the presets


  2. Alternatively, you can enter the dimensions for a custom box

Step 10

Press the ‘Continue to Parcel Weight button

Step 11

Enter the parcel weight

Note: Please ensure you enter the weight in kilograms. For example, 100g would need to be entered as 0.1kg.


IN-STORE PROCESS

Place the items and pick list inside the chosen box or satchel and weigh the contents.


Step 12

Press the ‘Proceed to Courier Information’ button

Step 13

Select which method you would like to use to hand over this parcel to Australia Post

  1. Pickup option: the order will be collected at your store by Australia post.
    Note: You must call Australia Post by 10am to request a pickup for that day. More information can be found on the guide to finalising a manifest.

  2. Drop Off Option: the order can be dropped off at your local Australia Post Office at any time

Step 14

Press the ‘Confirm Shipping Details’ button

Step 15

Confirm the details on this page are correct and press ‘Mark as Ready for Delivery

Step 16

Confirm you have picked and packed the correct products and quantities

Step 17

Print the shipping label (opens in a new tab)

Note: Make sure you have the correct printer selected – the Zebra printer.


IN-STORE PROCESS

Stick the label on the outside of the box or satchel, in an easily visible area. Place the order in your store’s dedicated storage/collection area.


Step 18

Go to Requires Manifest > Pickup Orders OR Requires Manifest > Drop Off Orders (depending on your selection) to view the order

Step 19

Follow the steps to finalise a manifest
