Set up review request emails and troubleshoot missing requests

Choose fulfillment-based timing, customize messages, and use Email History to investigate delivery.

Automatically ask for a review after an order is fulfilled. You need Pro, a customer email on the order, and an enabled email schedule.

1. Create the message and schedule

  1. Open Reviews → Email Setup and customize the Review Request Email and Review Reminder Email.

  2. Set the first delay after fulfillment and any reminder delays.

  3. Enable the email schedule and save.

Set the first request after fulfillment and reminder delays after the previous message. Schedule Status controls new scheduling.

Timing example: first request after 1 day + reminder 7 days later = reminder about 8 days after fulfillment. Reminder delays follow the previous scheduled message.

2. Check a missing request

  1. Confirm the Shopify order is fulfilled and has a customer email. Payment alone does not trigger the request.

  2. Check that the schedule was enabled and the delay has passed.

  3. Open Email History and inspect the order’s status or error.

Pending
Queued; not yet completed.

Failed
Inspect the delivery error and send it to support.

Cancelled
The customer may have unsubscribed.

Sent
Sent status does not confirm it was opened or read.

Changing a running schedule

Scheduling starts disabled, and enabling it does not enroll every historical order. Timing and template changes may not update messages already queued. If you need that queue stopped or changed, contact support with the affected orders or date range.

Done: the schedule is enabled, and an eligible fulfilled order appears in Email History with the expected timing.
