Stora sends email notifications every day to keep you informed about activity across bookings, customers, subscriptions, and more.
With Notification Preferences, you can choose exactly which system emails you receive, or turn them off entirely if that’s what you want.
💡 These settings apply only to your own account. They do not affect emails sent to customers or other staff members. Each staff member can manage their own notification preferences independently.
What are Notification Preferences?
Notification Preferences control the internal system emails sent to staff users. They do not affect customer‑facing emails.
Examples of notifications you can manage:
New bookings or cancellations
Customer enquiries and quotation requests
Proof of identity results
Subscription and contract events
You can manage notifications at three levels:
All notifications
Groups of notifications
Individual notifications
Once you turn something on or off, all changes are saved automatically.
Where to find Notification Preferences
Log in to the Stora Backoffice
Click your profile icon in the top-right
Select Notifications
You’ll see notification groups, each with individual email types.
Ways to manage your notifications
1. Enable or disable all notifications
At the top of the page, you’ll find Quick Actions:
Enable all – turns on every notification
Disable all – turns off every notification
💡 Use this for a clean slate, then re‑enable only what you need.
2. Enable or disable a group of notifications
Notifications are organised into groups:
Bookings & Reservations
Customers & Prospects
Subscriptions & Tenancies
Toggle a group to turn all notifications in that section on or off. For example, keep booking alerts on but turn off customer enquiry emails.
3. Enable or disable individual notifications
Within each group, toggle specific notification types, such as:
New booking created
Incomplete booking
Quotation request
Proof of identity failed
Use the toggle next to each item to fine-tune exactly what lands in your inbox.
