This article explains how to undo a scheduled subscription cancellation in Stora before the end date. This helps you keep the same subscription when plans change, instead of creating a new one.
How to undo a scheduled subscription cancellation
You can undo a cancellation from the subscription, from the subscription list, or from the contact.
To undo from the subscription detail:
Open Subscriptions and select the subscription you want to update.
Check that the subscription shows as Scheduled to end with a future end date.
Click Undo cancellation.
Review the confirmation message and click Confirm.
The subscription will return to an active state with no scheduled end date.
š” You can use this when a customer wants to change their cancellation date. First, undo the existing cancellation, then cancel the subscription again with the updated date.
When to use undo cancellation
Use undo cancellation when:
A customer decides to stay longer after you have already scheduled their moveāout.
A customer asks you to cancel on a different date, and you want to keep the same subscription.
You accidentally cancelled the wrong subscription and want to restore it before it ends.
In these cases, undoing the cancellation keeps your reporting cleaner and avoids raising unnecessary ad hoc invoices or recreating subscriptions.
Scheduled cancellations vs ended subscriptions
In the Backoffice, Stora now makes a clearer distinction between:
Scheduled cancellations: the subscription has an end date in the future. It is still active and will end on that date.
Ended subscriptions: the end date is in the past, and the subscription has fully finished.
ā ļø You can only undo cancellations for subscriptions with a future end date. If the end date has passed, the subscription is ended and cannot be resumed.
