Learn how to update a customer’s name, email address and billing details in Stora and Stripe, and how these changes appear on invoices.
You might use this when a customer moves home or wants invoices in a company name instead of their personal name.
Update contact details in Stora
You can update a customer’s contact details for your internal records in Stora.
Go to the customer’s profile in Stora.
Select Edit Contact.
Update the details you want to change, such as name, email address or billing address.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
⚠️ Changes made using Edit Contact only update your records in Stora. They do not change the name shown on invoices.
Update invoice details in Stripe
To change how customer details appear on invoices, update the customer in Stripe. This is useful if a customer wants their invoices addressed to a company name.
Open the customer’s profile in Stora.
Click View on Stripe to open their Stripe customer record.
In Stripe, click the pencil icon next to the Details section.
Update the details you want to change, such as name, billing address or email address.
Click Update customer to save the changes.
💡 Only newly generated invoices will show these updated details. Existing invoices will stay as they are.
