This guide shows you how to add a card to a customer’s account, update the card used on a subscription, and manage different cards across multiple subscriptions.
Update an existing card on a subscription
You can store debit or credit cards on a customer profile, then set one as the payment method for a subscription.
1. Open the subscription you want to update.
3. Click the pencil icon next to the payment method.
4. Choose the saved card you want to use.
5. Click Update to confirm the new payment method.
Add a new card to the customer profile
1. Open the customer in Stora and select + Add a Card to save their card details.
⚠️ Saving a card does not change any subscription’s payment method yet.
Switch a manual subscription to card payment
Subscriptions set to manual payment (e.g. Bank Transfer, Cash, Other) can be switched to card payments.
Open the customer account in Stora and select Add Payment Card to add and save the card.
Open the subscription and use Add Payment Card (or Edit payment method) to select the saved card.
Save your changes to enable automatic card payments for future charges.
