If you have been using Talisman's CV formatting tool, you may have started to notice there are a few different Tags you can use to tag your candidate's CV's.

CVSEND (Type)
CVCURRENT (Tag under the "CV" Type)
CVCLIENT (Tag under the "CV" Type)

CVCURRENT

The CV your candidate sends you if often far more useful than just a base to create a formatted CV. The CVCURRENT tag allows you to choose which CV you want to se searchable in the Power Search, and also which one is the main internally viewed CV. This tag also allows the CV to display in the "CV" tab in the candidate profile.

If you add a new document as CVCURRENT it will also provide you the option to update the profile with any fields that have parsed that are different. E.g a new Email Address or Home Address. Tick the ones you want to update.

Please Note: You can only have ONE CV marked as CVCURRENT at a time. If you tag a document with this tag, it will automatically remove it from the existing document that has it.

CVSEND

CVSEND is used to indicate that this CV is ok to send externally. There is no limit on how many of these you can have. This is most commonly used for the CV Formatter, it also allows a record to be kept of any historically formatted CV's that are no longer the most up-to-date (indicated by the CVCLIENT at the time).

CVCLIENT

The CVCLIENT is the CV you want to appear when you are sending the candidates application to your contact/client for a specific role. You can only have ONE CVCLIENT at a time, but these are also often tagged with CVSEND, to help identify which CV's are sendable vs which are internal use only.

If you try to send a CV to a client/contact, and the candidate does not have a CV tagged as CVCLIENT, you will see an error like this one:

This is a precaution to make sure you have reviewed and confirmed the CV's are ok for external viewing. You can fix this quickly by going into the profile, creating a formatted CV with the CVCLIENT tag, then going back to the Job Shortlist:

Top Tip - if you want the CVCLIENT to automatically assign to all new CV's you format. You can add the Tag to the document template in the document builder. Reach out to Talisman via support if you have any questions. The Document Builder article will also be useful for this.
