Clever, ClassLink, and TalkingPoints Connector run nightly syncs to update any changes that may have been made in your SIS and reflect them in TalkingPoints. However, to ensure that families receive communication in their preferred language, you can change the language directly from your teacher or admin account.
To change a contact's home language, please follow these easy steps:
On the web:
Step 1: Select the student's class.
Step 2: Click directly on the name of the student who needs updated contact language.
Step 3: Click on the three dots to the right of the contact you wish to edit and click 'Edit contact.'
Step 4: Click on language and choose the desired language you wish to set for the family contact.
Step 5: Change the language, then select 'Save.'
On the mobile app:
Step 1: From your classes tab, select the class the related student is in.
Step 2: Select the 'Students' tab, then select the student whose information you want to edit.
Step 3: Scroll down to the student's contacts and tap the three dots by the contact you want to edit.
Step 4: Select 'Edit language.'
Step 5: Make your language selection and tap 'Save.'
Note: Everything else will be overwritten with the nightly sync with the SIS (Student Information System) so it will need to be changed there instead.
