When partners share data from their Student Information System (SIS), it's possible that the district may have shared a phone number that is either incorrect or would prefer not to receive communication through TalkingPoints. We understand it's not always possible to remove this information directly from the SIS. Identify how to unsubscribe a family user from the TalkingPoints platform.

Families can leave a chat or opt out of TalkingPoints.
Only families using SMS text can be unsubscribed directly on TalkingPoints. If you do not see the unsubscribe contact option, the contact is using the app, and needs to be removed from the SIS.
Step 1: Click 'Students' & select the student you are trying to unsubscribe.
Step 2: Click the three dots next to the student's contact name and select unsubscribe contact.
Step 3: Click 'Unsubscribe Contact.'
Resubscribe a family contact
Step 1: Click 'Students' & select the family contact you are trying to resubscribe.
Step 2: Click the three dots next to the student's family contact name and select resubscribe contact.
Step 3: Click 'Resubscribe.'
