Some phone carriers split one text message into multiple texts automatically, depending on the length of the original message. If this happens, the phone carrier sends the multiple messages to TalkingPoints, which can arrive as out of order. While it can be difficult to read, this is due to the phone carrier and out of our control. Click here to read more about this.
This is why we have implemented our 600-character limit, and encourage all families to download the TalkingPoints for Families app for the best experience! On the app, messages arrive and send as intended, without interference from phone carriers.
Having said that, most families will see the messages in the order you send them. One way to avoid phone carriers breaking up your text messages is to send shorter messages. Try sending shorter messages (less than 160 characters) to help address this issue.
