To start using Taplio, you need to connect your LinkedIn account. When you create your Taplio account, a short setup walks you through it. It takes a couple of minutes.
Before the setup: tell us about you
First, Taplio asks two quick questions so it can tailor your setup.
1. Let's personalize your Taplio: choose what you're here for (for example, find ideas for what to post, write posts faster with AI, track how your posts perform, use Taplio from Claude or ChatGPT, or manage LinkedIn for your clients or team), then click Continue.
2. How did you hear about Taplio? Pick an option and click Continue.
Step 1: Install the Taplio Connect extension
Taplio Connect is the free Chrome extension that securely links your LinkedIn account to Taplio. It lets you post and engage with others from Taplio and gives you advanced analytics on your profile and posts.
Open Taplio Connect in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
Go back to the Taplio tab. Once the extension is installed, you'll see "Extension detected - you're all set!". Click Continue setup.
If Taplio doesn't detect the extension, refresh the Taplio page. Still not detected? See I installed the extension but Taplio can't detect it.
Step 2: Confirm your LinkedIn profile
Taplio shows the LinkedIn profile it found in your browser. Check that it's yours and click That's me. Taplio uses this profile to personalize your content, train the AI on your voice and find the best post ideas for your audience.
If it's the wrong profile, click That's not me, switch to the right LinkedIn account in your browser and try again.
Step 3: Taplio sets up your account
You don't need to do anything in this step. While you wait, Taplio:
scans your LinkedIn profile and the posts you've written,
calibrates the AI to your writing style, so it sounds like you,
searches for viral posts in your niche.
Choose your plan and start your free trial
When the setup is done, the plans page opens. Choose Monthly or Yearly billing (yearly saves 25%), then click Start 7-day free trial on the plan you want: Starter, Growth or Pro.
How the free trial works:
Choose your plan: pick the plan that fits your long-term needs.
7-day Pro access: during the trial you get every Pro feature, with limited AI usage.
Switch to your plan: your chosen plan starts after the 7 days, or right away if you reach the trial's AI limit.

That's it, your account is connected and ready to use.
