🤔 What is the Taplio Boost extension?

🧿 This section is relevant for all users of the Taplio Boost extension, whether they are free users or subscribers of Taplio.

The Taplio Boost Chrome extension is a free tool that provides you with relevant information while navigating through LinkedIn.

It is also a “companion app” (or add-on) to the main Taplio product that adds Taplio features directly on LinkedIn (more about that later).

Taplio Boost vs. Taplio Connect: the extension that is required to use Taplio is Taplio Connect, which connects your LinkedIn account to Taplio. Taplio Boost is optional and adds features on LinkedIn itself. Taplio Boost requires Taplio Connect to be installed, but Taplio Connect works without Taplio Boost.

Here is the extension in action on the right side of the page.

The extension was made for people who have a productive approach. The goal is to provide you with more actionable information about yourself and about other accounts so that you can have an improved experience.

We designed everything so that it would not interrupt your experience or feel like there’s something out of place.

🎁 Free features accessible to everyone

This section is relevant for all users of the Taplio Boost extension, whether they are free users or subscribers of Taplio. We cover features which anyone can access.

You can achieve 2 main things while using Taplio Boost:

  1. See your statistics at a glance

  2. Find your top performing content for inspiration

Let’s cover how to do both those things.

Your statistics at a glance

Taplio provides a full set of KPIs which you can analyze in depth. The Taplio Boost Chrome extension provides a summary of those indicators such as followers, impressions, engagements and profile views over the last 30 days.

You will see all of those upon opening your profile and waiting a couple seconds for the extension to load.

This is really helpful to see the progress you’ve made over the past few weeks, without having to navigate through endless pages across the platform to find the information.

Identify your top performing content

Scroll down a bit inside the extension or visit your profile and you will see another section called “Your Best Posts”.

This is where we show you the top performing posts you have published over the last 90 days.

This is super helpful when you’re trying to figure out what you could post. Instead of thinking about it forever, you can simply find what has worked for you in the past and try to write something similar.

Find top performing content of specific people

There’s a lot of people on the platform, and knowing what kind of content they publish is both useful for:

  1. Getting post inspirations from people in your niche or industry

  2. Finding out whether or not someone is worth following or letting inside your network

Whenever you visit someone’s profile, the Taplio Boost extension will show you their top performing posts.

Find top performing posts in your network

Whenever you’re using the extension, you can use the tabs at the top to access different sections of Taplio Boost. One of those tabs is Recent Hits.

This is where you’ll find the top performing recent posts in your network. That includes posts by 1st-degree connections, but also posts that they have interacted with by people you are not necessarily connected to.

In short, this is a way to retrieve the best performing content that would have appeared in your feed if you had been scrolling for hours. Again, this serves the purpose of saving you time and providing you with inspiration.

Using Taplio Boost as a Taplio customer

This section is relevant for Taplio customers (or free trialers) or people who are considering trying out the full version of the tool.

When connected to your Taplio account, Taplio Boost also lets you use Taplio features directly on LinkedIn, such as smart reply suggestions, saving posts to Taplio and exporting leads to your Taplio contacts. Smart replies use your AI credits (one generated reply = one credit) and can be turned on or off with a toggle in the extension settings – see Credits Explained.

In this section, we’ll cover:

  1. How to properly set up Taplio Boost to be used in pair with your Taplio subscription

  2. Troubleshooting when you have issues

Connecting Taplio Boost with your Taplio account

If you’re seeing this page, it’s likely you have already installed Taplio Boost on your browser. If not, you can go on this page and hit the “Add to Chrome” button. Make sure Taplio Connect is installed as well.

Once you have added Taplio Boost to your Chrome-based browser, visit the LinkedIn feed in order to set it up with your Taplio subscription. Upon visiting LinkedIn, the Taplio extension should load on the right side of the screen after just a few seconds.

While doing that, the extension will try to identify if you are also connected to a Taplio account on the same browser and device. If it does find an account, your Taplio Boost extension should show you connected status in the settings menu.

This is a good thing, it means it found your account and you can now enjoy the full set of Taplio’s features included in your subscription plan.

To remove the extension:

  1. Click on the 🧩 icon at the top-right of your Chrome browser

  2. Locate the Taplio Boost extension and click the “…” dropdown menu

  3. Click “Remove from Chrome” and confirm

Then you can proceed to reinstall Taplio Boost and attempt to configure it the same exact way you first did.

If you are still having issues, please reach out to our support team. You can contact us easily from the Taplio menu and we usually reply in less than a day.
