Positive Response allows utility members to provide updates on the status of locate requests for excavation projects. This ensures clear communication between excavators and utility operators, helping to prevent delays and enhance safety.


Getting Started with Positive Response

To submit Positive Responses, you must have an active Texas811 Portal account.

Configuring Positive Response

If you already have a portal account, fill out the Positive Response Configuration Form.

Information Required for the Form:

  • Contact Information: First and last name, phone number, and email

  • Company Name

  • Member Code(s): A 3-4 character identifier for your utility assets

  • Multiple Utility Types: Indicate if multiple utilities need to be configured

  • Portal Username: The email address you use to log in
