Get Started With the Favor Integration

Learn how to get started with the Favor integration.

Favor Delivery is a same-day delivery and online food ordering platform headquartered in Austin, Texas.

The Favor integration requires access to Toast Partner Integrations. See Set Up Toast Partner Integrations to learn more.

Key features of the Favor integration:

Features of this integration include (but are not limited to) the ability for customers to push real-time menu updates, manage hours, upload item images, descriptions, tags, and more!

For our guests, this integration unlocks a seamless ordering experience that will send any orders placed in our app directly to the customer's Toast POS system so that the order can be prepared and delivered by a Favor runner.

Enable Favor With Toast

  1. To enable Favor with Toast, log into Toast Web and navigate to the Integrations section using the left-hand navigation menu. Then, select Integrations management > Browse & purchase integrations.

  2. Enter Favor in the Search field and select Add Now.

    1. Note: Your restaurant must have access to Toast Partner Integrations to add the Favor integration. See Set Up Toast Partner Integrations to learn more.

  3. Review the data scope visibility terms and conditions and select Confirm to accept. See the Data Scope Visibility article for more information.

Onboard With Favor

Once the Toast Partner Integrations tile has been added, the Favor onboarding team will contact you within a week to complete the onboarding process. You will need to complete the following steps before onboarding can be completed.

Note: If you do not have an existing partnership with Favor, a Favor rep will reach out with steps to create your Favor account. To expedite the onboarding process you may still complete the following steps:

  1. Add Favor Payment Option:

    1. In your Toast dashboard, navigate to Payments > Payment methods > Other payment options.

    2. Select + Add to create a new Other Payment Option.

    3. Complete the information fields:

      1. Name = Favor

        1. We recommend selecting “No” for all the information fields to streamline the integration unless otherwise specifically requested.

    4. Save and Publish.


  2. Add Favor Dining Option - Takeout:

    1. In your Toast dashboard, select Kitchen > Dining Options > Dining Options.

    2. Select the + Add button to enter a new dining option.

    3. Complete the information fields:

      1. Name = Favor

      2. Behavior = Takeout

      3. Save and Publish.


  3. Set up your menu for Favor:
    Favor can pull your menu directly from Toast! If you already have a menu set up for third-party orders, Favor can easily use any pre-existing menu of your choice. To allow Favor to display a menu, check the Favor box in the Channel Visibility settings: Set Menu Visibility in the Menu Builder.

Troubleshooting and Support for the Favor Integration

Frequently Asked Questions about Favor/Toast

I'm part of a restaurant group. Do I have to set up the integration separately for each location?

Yes, you will need to follow the same steps individually for each restaurant you would like to add the Favor-Toast integration to via Toast Partner Integrations.

How much does the Favor-Toast integration cost?

The Favor integration is included in the Toast Partner Integrations portal and can be added at no extra cost to those who have access.

How long does it take to get the Favor-Toast integration live for my restaurant?

Once the above steps for the Favor-Toast integration are completed, pending no additional partnership details, Favor will communicate with you within one week to get the integration live.

Can I configure holidays or special hours?

Yes, you can configure holidays or special hours to work with the Favor integration.. You can configure holiday or special hours as a Schedule Override in Toast's online ordering schedule and this schedule overrides will display on the Favor platform.

Can I pause Favor orders in an emergency?

You cannot control Favor order flow directly in Toast, but you will have a designated Favor Account Manager (once the integration is live) who will be able to assist in pausing Favor orders by request.

Note: Your hours and overrides will be updated nightly through the integration so any advance updates will be accurately reflected.
