Using Threads in Uniteam

Threads help you keep side conversations organized by letting you reply to a specific message—without flooding the main chat.

Updated over 5 months ago

🧼 TL;DR:

  • Threads are only available in chats (1:1, Spaces, and Subspaces)

  • Click the three dots on any message, then choose “Reply in thread”

  • Threads keep related replies grouped and the main chat clean

Where Can You Use Threads?

1:1 Chats
Spaces
Subspaces

❌ Threads are not available in feed posts.

How to Start or Reply to a Thread

  1. Hover over or tap a message in chat

  2. Click the three dots (⋯) next to the message

  3. Select “Reply in thread”

  4. Type your message in the thread panel

  5. Your reply will appear grouped under the original message

Everyone in the chat can view and participate in the thread.

Why Threads Matter

  • Keeps the main chat focused

  • Groups related conversations together

  • Makes it easier to follow discussions without losing track

💡 Pro Tip:

If your message is about something specific someone just said—thread it. It’s the cleanest way to ask follow-ups without sidetracking the main convo.
