Why don't contact details save properly when someone scans my card?
This is usually caused by missing fields in your profile or a limitation of the phone's operating system. Check that all your contact details are filled in correctly in the Contact Card section of your profile editor.
Common reasons details don't save correctly
Missing fields in your profile
The most common cause. If a field is blank in your profile editor, it will be blank when someone saves your contact. Go to your dashboard, click Edit Profile, and check every field in the Contact Card section:
• First name and last name • Job title • Company name • Phone number (with country code) • Email address • Website URL • Profile photo
Apple limitations on iPhones
When saving contacts on an iPhone, Apple does not display cover photos — only your profile photo will show. This is an iOS limitation, not a V1CE issue. Make sure you have uploaded a clear profile photo (not just a cover image).
The "Save Contact" button is missing
If the person scanning your card cannot see a Save Contact button:
• Make sure your profile is published (Go Live) • Check that the Contact Card section is enabled in your profile settings • Try opening the link in a different browser
Contact details are duplicated or jumbled
This can happen when the phone's contact app interprets fields differently. To reduce this:
Keep your name in the correct name fields (not in the company field)
Use the correct phone number format with country code
Avoid special characters in your fields
How to test your card
Open your Smart Link in a browser (link.v1ce.co/yourname)
Tap Save Contact
Check every field in the saved contact
If something is wrong, go back to your profile editor and fix it
Test again
My profile photo does not appear in the saved contact
• Upload a square image (at least 400x400 pixels) • Use JPG or PNG format • Make sure the image is under 5MB • On iPhones, only the profile photo shows — not the cover image
My map link or website link does not work
• Check the URL starts with https:// • For Google Maps links, copy the full URL from your browser • Test the link by pasting it into a browser first
