I was charged but did not expect it
On V1CE ClientCapture OS, your subscription is managed from your V1CE dashboard under Settings. Unexpected charges are most commonly a subscription renewal (monthly or annual) or, for accounts still on legacy V1CE Plus, a per-link upgrade you no longer remember. Start by checking your current subscription in the V1CE dashboard.
How to check what you were charged for on V1CE ClientCapture OS
Log in at app.v1ce.co
Go to Settings in the sidebar
Open your subscription and billing section
You will see your active subscription, the renewal date, and the payment history
If you can't find the billing section, your V1CE software may not surface it on your plan. Contact V1CE support with the charge details.
Common reasons for unexpected charges
Free trial ended
Paid V1CE plans include a free trial. If you did not cancel before the trial ended, the subscription renewed on its own and you were charged.
Annual subscription renewed
If you are on an annual plan, it renews on its own each year. You will see a charge for the yearly plan based on the current pricing on v1ce.co.
Orphaned subscription from a deleted page or link
If you deleted a page (or, on legacy software, a link) without cancelling its subscription first, the subscription becomes orphaned and continues to charge silently because the page or link it was attached to no longer exists. If you are seeing a charge for a page you do not have any more, this is the cause. Contact V1CE support with the original page or link name and V1CE will cancel the orphaned subscription and review the charge.
How to cancel and stop future charges on V1CE ClientCapture OS
Log in at app.v1ce.co
Go to Settings in the sidebar
Open your subscription and billing section
Click Cancel Plan
Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, then your account reverts to V1CE Free Forever
Important: cancel the subscription before you delete the page (or, on legacy software, the link). If you delete the page or link first, the subscription becomes orphaned and continues to charge. To fix an orphaned subscription, contact V1CE support with the original name and V1CE will cancel it for you.
I want a refund for the unexpected charge
V1CE subscriptions are officially non-refundable once charged. However, if you believe the charge is a system-side duplicate, was caused by an orphaned subscription you did not know was active, or is otherwise a genuine error, contact V1CE support with the page or link in question and a brief description. V1CE will investigate and may refund the charge.
How to avoid unexpected charges in the future
Cancel any subscription before deleting the page or link it is attached to.
Set a reminder before any V1CE free trial ends so you can cancel or convert intentionally.
Check your V1CE dashboard periodically to confirm which pages or links are on a paid plan.
If you are on legacy V1CE Plus, Pro, or Teams software
If your dashboard has a link switcher at the top, you are on the legacy V1CE software. Legacy V1CE Plus is charged per link, not per account. If you have four links on one V1CE account and you upgraded two of them to Plus, you have two separate Plus subscriptions and each one renews independently on its own date.
To see which legacy links are on Plus, log in at app.v1ce.co and check the link switcher. Any link on a paid plan will show its subscription details under Settings > Manage Subscriptions > Billing.
To cancel a legacy V1CE Plus subscription, click the link in the link switcher, then go to Settings > Manage Subscriptions > Billing and click Cancel Plan. Each upgraded link must be cancelled separately.
