My card says it is assigned to another user

The card needs to be reset before you can activate it. The previous owner or company admin can reset it from their dashboard. Alternatively, send us a photo of the QR code on the back of your card and we will reset it for you.

Why does this happen?

Every V1CE Smart Card is linked to one account at a time. If the card was previously used by someone else (for example, a former employee), it is still linked to their account until it is reset.

How to fix it

Option 1: The previous owner resets it

  1. The previous owner logs in at app.v1ce.co

  2. Goes to NFC Cards

  3. Finds the card and clicks Reset

  4. You can now scan the QR code and activate it under your account

Option 2: The team admin resets it

If the card was part of a team:

  1. The team admin logs in

  2. Goes to the Teams console

  3. Removes the card from the former team member

  4. Resets the card

Option 3: We reset it for you

  1. Send us a photo of the QR code on the back of your card

  2. We will verify and reset it on our end

  3. You can then activate it by scanning the QR code
