Can I roll back to the old V1CE app version?
Yes, V1CE can roll your account back to the old app version if you really want it. Most customers don't end up needing to though. The new free version of V1CE ClientCapture OS has more features than the legacy paid Plus plan it replaced. Try the new V1CE ClientCapture OS first
Before requesting a rollback, V1CE recommends spending a few minutes on the new V1CE ClientCapture OS. Two reasons:
The new free version includes more than the legacy Plus did. Features that used to require a paid legacy Plus subscription on the old version, including the email signature builder, Contact Capture / Exchange Contact, Welcome and Smart follow-up emails, and more, are now free on V1CE ClientCapture OS. If your reason for wanting the rollback is "I'm losing features", the opposite is almost always true on the new version.
A 30-day free trial of V1CE ClientCapture OS lets you test the new platform with everything turned on, with no charge. After 30 days you can stay on the Free Forever tier (which still has more than the legacy Plus) or step up.
How to request a rollback to the old version
If after trying V1CE ClientCapture OS you still prefer the old app, contact V1CE support with:
Your V1CE account email.
A short note saying you want to roll back to the old app version.
V1CE will revert your account on the back-end. There is no self-serve rollback button in the app. The change is made by V1CE staff.
I want to roll back because something isn't working on the new app
If your reason for wanting the rollback is that a specific feature is broken or missing on the new V1CE ClientCapture OS, V1CE wants to know about it. Contact support with a description of what you were trying to do and what went wrong, ideally with a screenshot. V1CE can either fix the issue on the new app or roll your account back, and the engineering team can address the underlying bug so other customers don't hit it.
What changes after a rollback
After V1CE rolls your account back to the old version, your physical card and page keep working. The features available to you change: you lose any V1CE ClientCapture OS-only features and revert to the legacy Plus / free feature set, with the old UI. Your contacts and saved data are preserved through the change.
Can I come back to V1CE ClientCapture OS later
Yes. If you roll back to the old version and later decide you want V1CE ClientCapture OS after all, contact V1CE support and the team will move your account onto the new platform again.
