Can I pause my V1CE subscription instead of cancelling?
You can ask V1CE to pause your V1CE ClientCapture OS subscription, but pausing is not a self-serve option in the dashboard. V1CE handles pause requests manually, and whether a pause is possible depends on the reason and the length of time. If a pause is not possible, the alternative is to cancel and resubscribe later.
How to request a subscription pause
To request a pause on your V1CE ClientCapture OS subscription, contact V1CE support with the details below. V1CE reviews each request individually:
The email address on your V1CE account.
The reason you want to pause, for example extended travel, parental leave, or a temporary budget freeze.
How long you would like the pause to last.
V1CE will reply with whether a pause is possible for your account and what the resume date would be.
What V1CE can usually accommodate
V1CE can usually accommodate short, time-bound pauses where you give a clear resume date. The most common scenarios V1CE supports are:
A short break of one to three months for extended leave or travel.
A pause while waiting on a budget approval at your organisation.
A pause during a quiet trading period for seasonal businesses.
Open-ended pauses with no resume date are usually handled as a cancellation instead, so you only pay again when you decide to resubscribe.
Take a V1CE page offline without cancelling
If you don't want to cancel but you also don't want your V1CE page to be reachable for a while, you can take the page offline from your dashboard without touching your subscription. The page goes dark, the card still tap-detects, but anyone who taps it sees an "unavailable" page instead of your details. Useful for short trips, role changes, or a quiet period where you'd rather not be discoverable.
Log in at app.v1ce.co
Go to Pages and open the page you want to take offline
Open Page settings
Click Unpublish, or set the page to Draft
Save
Your V1CE card still detects taps and scans, but the URL resolves to a V1CE "page unavailable" screen instead of your content. To resume, open the same page and republish it. The page is back online instantly.
Taking a page offline is different from cancelling. Cancelling stops billing and pauses your ClientCapture OS features. Unpublishing only hides the page, your subscription, contacts, Smart follow-ups, and everything else keep running.
What happens to your V1CE card if you cancel
If you choose to cancel V1CE ClientCapture OS instead of pausing, you do not lose your V1CE card. The V1CE card itself runs on V1CE Free Forever, which is the free tier you keep for life with no subscription. After you cancel:
Your V1CE card keeps working and still taps to share your page.
Your page stays live on V1CE Free Forever, with the Free Forever feature set.
ClientCapture OS features such as Smart follow-ups, Check-ins, Agreements, Services, Insights, and the full CRM are paused until you resubscribe.
Your contacts, page content, and history are kept on the account, ready to switch back on when you resubscribe.
How to resubscribe later
When you are ready to come back, you can resubscribe to V1CE ClientCapture OS at any time:
Log in to app.v1ce.co.
Go to Settings, then Billing.
Choose V1CE ClientCapture OS and confirm your payment method.
Your old contacts, Smart follow-ups, and page content all switch back on as soon as the subscription is active again.
