Follow the steps below to create your account, verify your identity, and get started as a Vidle Housing host.
1. Visit the Vidle Housing Website
Go to the Vidle Housing website and click Join Vidle in the top-right corner.
2. Select "Property Host"
Choose Property Host as your account type and enter the following information:
First and last name
Email address
Mobile Number
Password
Click Create Account to continue.
Important: Make sure you use an email address you can easily access, as important account, reservation, and guest communications will be sent to this email.
3. Complete Your Host Profile
Next, you'll be guided through setting up your host profile. Your profile helps travelers learn more about you and your hosting experience.
You'll be asked to provide:
Display Name: The name travelers will see on your profile and listings.
Phone Number: Used for important account and reservation-related communication.
Location
Hosting Experience: How long you've been hosting.
Promo Code: Optional, if applicable.
Make sure your information is accurate and up to date.
4. Review and Agree to the Terms
Review the Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy, then check the box to confirm your agreement.
We recommend reviewing these policies carefully so you understand how reservations, cancellations, payments, and hosting responsibilities work on Vidle Housing.
5. Proceed to Identity Verification
Click Continue to begin the identity verification process.
Identity verification helps keep Vidle Housing safe and trustworthy for both hosts and travelers. All hosts are required to complete verification before their account can be fully approved.
6. Scan the QR Code
A QR code will appear on your screen. Using your mobile phone:
Open your phone's camera app.
Point the camera at the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
Tap the notification or link that appears.
The secure verification page will open on your phone.
You'll then be asked to:
Upload a valid government-issued photo ID.
Complete a quick selfie verification.
For security purposes, the identity verification process must be completed on a mobile device.
Verification tips:
Make sure your ID is current and not expired.
Take photos in a well-lit area.
Make sure all information on your ID is clearly visible.
Complete the selfie verification yourself and follow the on-screen instructions.
Do not upload screenshots, photocopies, or photos of an ID displayed on another screen.
If your verification can't be completed or additional information is needed, our team may contact you for further documentation.
Once your account is set up, you can begin adding your property.
When creating your listing, you'll provide details such as:
Property address and location
Property type
Photos
Description
Amenities
House rules
Monthly pricing
Availability
Instant Booking (not available for OwnerRez Users or June Homes)
Providing complete and accurate information helps travelers understand exactly what your property offers and can improve your chances of receiving inquiries and reservation requests.
8. Set Up Your Payout Method
Before receiving payouts for confirmed reservations, you'll need to connect your payout account through Stripe.
From your Host Dashboard, go to:
Account → Payout Method → Stripe Connect Setup → Complete Setup
You'll then be guided through Stripe's secure setup process to provide the information needed to receive payouts.
9. Keep Your Pricing and Availability Updated
Once your listing is active, it's important to regularly review your:
Monthly pricing
Calendar and availability
Property details
Amenities
Photos
Keeping your listing accurate helps prevent declined reservation requests and missed booking opportunities.
If your property is listed on other platforms, you may also be able to connect a supported PMS integration to help sync your listings, pricing, and availability.
10. Start Receiving Inquiries and Reservation Requests
Once your listing is active, travelers can discover your property and send inquiries or reservation requests.
Responding quickly is important. Fast response times and accurate availability can improve the traveler experience and increase your chances of securing a booking.
Eligible hosts can also enable Instant Booking, allowing travelers to book qualifying listings without waiting for manual host approval.
You're Ready to Host!
Once you've completed your profile, verified your identity, created your listing, set your pricing and availability, and connected your payout method, you're ready to welcome travelers through Vidle Housing.
Vidle Housing is free to join and list your properties. Hosts are only charged a 12% fee for each successful booking.
