Enhanced performance configuration and management has been designed with scalability in mind and is the perfect solution in helping users work with their performance configuration.
To access the Relationship Performance configuration, navigate to Admin > Relationship performance configuration:
The next page will contain an overview with a list of all relationships displayed in a headed list which shows the number of individual KPIs (1), number of KPI groups (2), Performance overall score (3), and Performance Last Updated (4).
Performance configuration filtering
The filtering functionality will allow users to find all relationships that belong to a specific customer company. This new filter will be extremely useful when combined with saved views.
Being able to easily find all relationships that belong to a specific part of the customer’s organisation, allows users to easily find all relationships by a specific region or business function, depending how their organisation is organised. In addition, users can drill down into their relationship performance configuration to answer questions like “Which relationships from category X do not have KPI X enabled?”.
Performance configuration export
Understanding how their relationships are configured is a key activity for admins. An export is available to download which contains a row for every KPI from the performance KPI Library. The export shows whether the KPI is enabled for that relationship, what target and weightings it has, and much more.
This data can be exported at both a company and organisation level. When the user has filtered the list to display only the relationships they would like to view data for, click ‘Download CSV’ from the top of the page. As soon as the report is processed it can be retrieved from ‘Click Here’ or ‘Download’ buttons to view the CSV file containing data related to each relationship in the list.
Performance configuration bulk actions
Bulk actions on performance configuration are an extremely powerful tool to manage at scale all relationships as opposed to individual setups. Bulk actions that an organisation admin can complete:
Enable a KPI for relationships.
Enable a KPI group for relationships.
Update a KPI for relationships.
Update a KPI group for relationships.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you create KPI groups and individual KPIs in Company Admin > Performance before applying performance bulk actions. Also, it is important that these are shared correctly if you are importing from another level of the organisation tree.
Whichever option is selected (Update/Enable - KPI groups/KPIs), the modal will contain a list of all KPIs or KPI Groups respectively. Only one can be selected at a time to be applied to multiple relationships.
Following this, admins will be prompted to select whichever relationships their changes will apply to.
The modal for enabling and updating will look the same, however when completing a KPI/KPI group update, the user must tick the checkbox at the top of the modal to allow updates for any KPIs with existing configuration:
In keeping with how performance configuration currently works, if the relationship performance is already populated with current period data when a new KPI or group is added/updated, the current period data is reset and wiped from the modal and overview. There is a warning on the bulk action modal to remind users of this behavior:
Failure to process bulk action
There are many reasons why a bulk action might fail. For example, when trying to enable a KPI on a relationship where it is already enabled and the option to override existing configuration has not been selected. After each bulk action, the user will receive an in-app notification to explain how many errors and successes have occurred (the user may attempt to enable a KPI for 100 relationships, some will succeed, and others may error).
To further explore why there are errors on certain actions, clicking on the notification will open the Bulk Action Log from which you can download a detailed .csv to drill in on why some actions have errored.
For example, you have tried to enable a KPI group that only exists for a certain company for a relationship with another company without sharing it with that company level of your organization tree, in which case this will be flagged as kpi group not available for relationship.
A quick solution to this is to share the group with that company level of your organisation and reattempt the bulk action.
