Walkies gives you a few ways to keep clients in the loop. Here's what each one does, and when to use it.
Ways to reach your clients
Live chat on a walk or visit: every walk and visit has a Feed, a real-time chat between the client and whoever is doing it, including team members. Messages arrive instantly on both sides, during the walk or visit and afterwards. See Can I live chat with clients during a walk or visit?
Message one client: a chat in the Walkies Journal app, for anything about their pets or bookings. See How do I message a client?
Message all clients: one message to everyone, by the Journal app or email, like closing for a holiday. See How do I message all my clients at once?
Bulletin: a post every client can look back at in the Journal app's Bulletins tab, like news or price changes. See How do I send a bulletin to all my clients?
Day before reminder: reminds clients about tomorrow's appointments, in Menu > Appointment notifications. Needs Walkies Max.
Reactions: you and your clients can react to walk and visit updates with an emoji.
Automatic notifications: sent by Walkies for you, like walk started, report cards and new invoices. Choose them for everyone in How do I choose which notifications all my clients get?, or for one client in How do I choose which notifications a client gets?
Paperwork
Contracts: terms your clients sign in the Journal app. See How do I create a contract?
Company files: your own business files, like a price list, kept in Walkies to view and share. See How do I upload a company file?
Which to use
Something about a walk or visit, while it's happening or after: live chat in its Feed.
Something else for one client: message them.
Something everyone needs to see now: message all clients.
Something everyone can find again later: post a bulletin.
Terms you need agreed: send a contract.
Good to know
Team members don't have an Inbox. They talk to clients in the app by live chat in the Feed of the walks and visits they're assigned to.
Messages and bulletins in the app reach clients who use the Walkies Journal app. Message all clients also emails clients who don't.
Clients who don't use the Walkies Journal app get everything by email instead: appointments being booked, changed or cancelled, walk and visit reports, pet sitting reports, and invoices. The links open in a web browser, and they can pay invoices there.
Contracts always notify the client, whatever their notification settings.
