Can't get something working in OASIS? These are the answers to the most common questions.

I cannot hear anything:

If people can hear you but you can't hear them, it's usually your browser blocking the sound, not your mic.

Here's how to fix it:

  1. Click anywhere in the room. If a "Tap to enable sound" button pops up near the top, tap it.

  2. Still nothing? Refresh the page and come back in. This fixes it most of the time.

A few other things to check:

  1. If it's just one person you can't hear, their mic might be off, or you may have muted them by accident. Check the Members list for an "Unmute for me" option.

  2. On Bluetooth headphones? Disconnect and reconnect them, or switch to your speakers to test.

  3. Check your device isn't on silent (iPhones could do that).

If none of that works, try a different browser or device. Chrome on a laptop is the most reliable.

You will also need to be sure you have shared "Sound" in your Browser Settings.

If you have and you still cannot see, check to see if you have a "privacy cover' on your camera.
