How to configure the General tab

When you create your shop for the first time, you can only edit the General tab first.

Once you have configured the General tab and saved the changes, the Details tab will become available.

Configuring the General tab

This needs to be a unique shop Identifier that makes it easy for customers to find the shop. It can be the same as the Shop Name, but it cannot be the same as any other Identifier already listed on the platform.

Important: If the Shop display status button is set to ON, the front end of your shop will be visible. Setting to OFF hides the shop until you are ready to publish.

Fulfillment Method

  1. If you only require shipping as a fulfillment method, then you can complete this field and select "Ship only".

  2. If you need to provide "Pickup" as an option, this will not be available until you have completed the Pickup Address tab.

Tip: If you are only listing items that do not require shipping, you still need to select a method for the shop. This will not apply a shipping method for the items, as the platform will recognise these items as not requiring shipping based on the item type selected at the time of adding (digital/services).

Manual shipping rates vs. third-party shipping service plugin

  1. If you have selected Shipping as a Fulfillment Method option, a toggle switch will appear asking “Use Manual Shipping Rates Instead of Third Party”.

  2. You can select Manual Shipping by turning the toggle switch ON (blue). Manual shipping allows you to ship the orders to buyers instead of using a third-party shipping service for shipping. If selected, you must configure manual shipping rates.

  3. Leave the toggle switch turned OFF (grey) if you want to use a third-party shipping service plugin. You will need to configure and activate a third-party shipping service.

  4. If you are listing items that do not require shipping, you can leave the toggle switch set to OFF and not activate a third-party shipping service.

Enable Request For Quote (RFQ) module

If you want to list your products/services without publishing the price, you can enable the RFQ module by turning on this toggle. This allows you to leave the price blank and buyers will request a price via quote.

Select Categories

Select the category that represents the type(s) of products/services your shop offers. You can apply more than one category to your shop, and you can add or remove categories later if needed.

Categories are used to help buyers search for certain types of products/services.

Click on the search bar to see a drop-down list of the available categories.

Government information on invoices

The platform automatically creates Order Invoices for all generated orders. The information on these invoices does not automatically include:

  • Your company name (if different from your shop/trading name)

  • Your business GST number

  • Your New Zealand Business Number (NZBN)

Use this field to add extra information that you want displayed on your invoices.

Important: Remember to click the "Save Changes" button to apply the changes you have made.
