Adding new inventory
When you add new inventory, you can either add inventory
for a single product variation - when there are no linked option values
for multiple product variations - when there are linked option values
If your product does not have linked option values, then only one variant is available to be added. All quantities entered as part of configuring the Product Seller form apply to that single variant.
If your product does have linked option values, the values you select will be added once the Seller Product form has been completed. The Seller Product form applies quantities entered to any variations added.
Feature: For example. If you enter a stock level alert of 5 for the product, all variations of your product that have been selected as inventory will send out a stock level alert when each variation reaches 5 units of stock left.
Configuring the Seller Product form, Initial setup tab
Navigate to the Seller dashboard. From the LH menu, select Shop>Shop Inventory.
Click on the button to open the list of all your added products.
For the product you want to add inventory for your shop, click on theicon alongside the product listing.
This field will already be pre-populated from when you added the product, but you can change it if you want.
Tracking Inventory amounts
Track & subtract quantities of inventory - turn this toggle ON (blue) if you want the platform to automatically track product inventory quantities.
Send alert when inventory level is low - turn this toggle ON (blue) if you want to be notified by email when inventory amounts are getting low.
Quantity at which Stock Level Alerts are sent β editable only if you checked the previous option for sending an alert.
How are Stock Level Alerts applied to product variations?
For example, you have added a pump product with 3 different size options - Small, Medium, and Large.
If you set a Stock Level Alert value of 5 for this product inventory, when the inventory is created it will apply a stock level alert limit of 5 to each size variation:
Small pump product alert sent when stock levels show 5 units remaining
Medium pump product alert sent when stock levels show 5 units remaining
Large pump product alert sent when stock levels show 5 units remaining
Enter the minimum number of units a buyer must purchase at once. If you have linked option values to the product, the minimum purchase quantity will be applied to each product variant when the inventory is created.
Tip: You can set a date when the product is available using the Date Available field e.g. you are waiting for stock for a new product to be delivered to your store.
Available for COD (Cash On Delivery) - this feature is currently disabled.
Fulfillment method
The options available for the product are dependent on the Fulfillment method you selected when configuring the General tab when creating your shop, and when configuring Tax and shipping when adding your product.
If you selected Ship & Pickup for your shop and product, you can select any fulfillment method for inventory, even if it is different from the original shop/product setup.
If you selected Pickup Only, this is the only option available.
If you selected Ship Only, this is the only option available.
Note: You need to have entered a Pickup Address when you were configuring your shop to enable this as a fulfillment method for both your shop setup and your added product.
Checkout type
There are three options for how you want to display the price of your product on the front end of your shop:
RFQ (Request for Quote) and cart - buyers can request a quote from you and they can see the price on the front end of the shop for a buy now option.
Cart only - buyers can only see the price on the front end of the shop. Buy now is the only option.
RFQ - buyers have to request a quote to get the price of the item, it is not visible on the front end of the shop and buy now is not an option.
Warning: If RFQ only is selected then POA will display on the shop. However, a numeric value (which does not need to be the price) must still be entered in the selling price field to be able to save and proceed.
When to publish your inventory
If you are configuring your final product inventory settings in this form, and you want the inventory to be visible on the front end of your shop when you "Save Changes", turn the "Publish Inventory" toggle ON (blue).
If you have additional information to add and the product is not ready for buyers to purchase, turn the toggle OFF (grey).
Entering your product price and available quantity
Product with no variations - there will only be one row to configure
Products <20 variations - each option value will have one row each to configure
Products >20 variations - select one variant at a time from the list to configure
[Selling Price] β must be more than the minimum product sale price, unless "RFQ only" is selected for checkout type.
Warning: If RFQ only is selected then POA will display on the shop. However, a numeric value (which does not need to be the price) must still be entered in the selling price field to be able to save and proceed.
Important: Watersorted has been configured to display the selling price in NZ dollars and exclude GST (if sales tax is applicable) on the shop's front end. GST is added at checkout depending on the tax category applied.
[Available Quantity] β if you have set a stock level alert limit, the available quantity should be more than the limit set.
This will add the inventory to the Shop Inventory page. If you have turned the "Publish Inventory" toggle ON it will also display the inventory on the front end of your shop.
- delete the information you just added.
