Establish clear claim timelines to keep your campaigns on track and optimize your budget. This guide covers how to configure expiration windows during setup, extend active claim dates, and leverage automated recipient reminders.
Expiration Rules by Campaign Type
Set expiration rules directly in your campaign setup:
One-Time & Scheduled Campaigns: Set a timeframe from the existing options or add a custom date (minimum of 7 days).
Automated Campaigns (Anniversary / Birthday): Require a Rolling Expiration structure, expiring at 23:59 UTC on the target date.
Note: Account Owners can define a default expiration timeline under Settings > Company > Gift Customization that automatically applies to new campaigns.
Tracking & Extending Expirations
Monitor active gifts and extend claim windows under Track.
Viewing Expiration Dates:
Check the Expires at column. Hover over any date to see the exact UTC timestamp.
Extending Active Gifts (+30 Days):
Single Gift: Hover over the gift → click the three dots icon → select Yes, extend.
Bulk Extension: Check the box next to multiple recipients → click Extend expiration.
⚠️ Note: Expired gifts cannot be extended. If a gift has already expired, you must send a new gift.
Automated Expiration Reminders
Snappy automatically sends claim reminders to help boost your redemption rates:
Clear Visibility: The exact expiration date is clearly displayed in delivery notifications and on the recipient claim landing page.
Automated Reminders: System reminder notifications are automatically sent 7 days and 1 day before a gift expires.
Post-Expiration: No notifications are sent after a gift officially expires.
