Different program types serve different purposes

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Creating training programs is the nuts and bolts of FITR and you're free to mix and match from the available styles to create your perfect library of products.

You can create as many programs as you wish, each with up to 10 live tracks clients can switch between (and more tracks you hold in archive), and each client can sign up to as many concurrent programs as they wish.

1-2-1 Program

1-2-1 programs are perfect for delivering totally bespoke/individualised programming to your client or clients and you can

Consider a 1-2-1 program like a holding folder for your bespoke clients. You only need to create a single 1-2-1 program for any particular price point, into which you then invite your 1-2-1 clients. Add an unlimited number of clients who need 1-2-1 training to a single 1-2-1 program.

For example, let's say bespoke coaching costs £200 / month. Create a single 1-2-1 program at the price point of £200 / month. Invite all your individualised clients to join that program. We'll sort out all the financial side of things when they join, and you'll have all your clients neatly organised in one list.

In 1-2-1 the system creates each client their own unique calendar schedule into which you can program just for them. The ‘manual invite’ option places a client in ‘pending’; start to add content for them and then send an actual invitation when you’re ready.

  • Each client has own independent calendar schedule

  • Programming synced with real time Jan-Dec calendar

  • New clients join from the current calendar day

  • Fresh training content added over time ahead of clients

  • Ongoing subscription program

  • Coach sets how far in advance clients can see ahead

  • Clients can scroll between days but cannot reschedule themselves

Fixed Length Program

A program with a fixed duration, accessed by the client in one go.

A fixed length program is perfect when there is a fixed end point, delivering specific coaching components, e.g. couch to 5k in 6 weeks, learn kipping pull ups in 8 weeks and so on. We have also seen this type of program used to offer giveaways of subscription based programs, provide free 1-2 week example content, and deliver preliminary testing protocols and client data gathering.

  • Manage one calendar schedule for all clients

  • Week 1 > Progressive calendar

  • New clients start from the beginning (Session 1, Day 1, Week 1)

  • Training content built in advance

  • Training content a fixed duration

  • One off sign up

  • All content visible immediately to clients

  • Clients can reschedule anywhere, reuse, and restart at any time

Session 1, Day 1 Program

Session 1 Day 1 programs, unlike Group Rolling Calendars, mean each new client starts ‘from the start’, from the first day of the program, and moves forward from there, without necessarily jumping straight in to training sessions others are already doing and/or potentially better prepared for.

When a client signs up, they'll have the ability to set their own start date. E.g. a client subscribes on a Friday, they can start the program on the following Monday.

When a client joins the program, they will be given the first 7 days of training. As each day progresses, they will be given the next day of training. (The system updates once per day each night).

Note - any updates by a coach only update to clients once per day (unique to this program type)

Group Rolling Calendar Program

All subscribed clients follow the same programming on the same calendar dates, perfect for offering online access to daily workouts that all clients perform on the same day.

A coach might be providing for a group of athletes all following the same yearly preparation and competition schedule, or online versions of in-person classes.

The next step after creating your programs is signing up clients. You can read about signing up clients here.
