How to connect Amazon with the SP-API

Connect Amazon so Acenda keeps inventory, prices and orders in sync.

Acenda connects to Amazon through Amazon's Selling Partner API (SP-API). Once connected, Acenda keeps your Amazon inventory and prices up to date, brings your Amazon orders into Acenda, and sends tracking back to Amazon when orders ship, alongside all your other sales channels.

This page explains what the connection does, which systems it works with, and how to connect or reconnect Amazon in Acenda. For an overview of the Integrations screen, see How to connect a sales channel to Acenda.

What is Amazon SP-API?

SP-API is Amazon's official way for software like Acenda to exchange selling data with your Seller Central account: listings, inventory, prices, orders and shipments. You approve Acenda's access once from Seller Central, so there are no API keys to copy or paste.

What can you manage with Acenda?

Inventory

  • Send stock levels from your Acenda warehouses to Amazon automatically.

  • Hold back a safety buffer with an inventory floor, so Amazon never shows your last few units. It's set on the Amazon integration under Settings > Inventory Configuration.

Prices

  • Send price changes from Acenda to Amazon.

Orders and fulfillment

  • Import seller-fulfilled (FBM) Amazon orders into Acenda, usually within minutes of purchase.

  • Route those orders to the right warehouse, 3PL or fulfillment partner, the same way as orders from your other channels.

  • Send carrier and tracking details back to Amazon when an order ships.

  • Pick up cancellations made on Amazon, so the order is updated in Acenda automatically.

  • Bring in Amazon-fulfilled (FBA) orders for a complete order history, using the Amazon FBA (US) integration.

Listing visibility

Good to know: Acenda works with listings that already exist in your Amazon account. Create new listings, and manage listing content such as titles, descriptions and images, in Seller Central.

Connect your existing systems

Acenda connects with tools you already use to run your business, including:

  • ERP systems: NetSuite, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

  • Ecommerce platforms: Shopify, Adobe Commerce (Magento) and WooCommerce.

  • Shipping and operations tools: ShipStation, Veeqo, Cin7, Sellercloud and ShipWorks.

Your Acenda team can help confirm the connections and setup your Amazon workflow needs. See the full list on the Acenda Integrations page.

Pricing and onboarding

Acenda charges a flat monthly rate per connected channel, with no percentage-of-sales charges or per-order fees.

A one-time setup fee equal to one month's channel fee covers personalized onboarding. Advanced ERP connections, such as NetSuite and SAP, may carry an additional one-time integration fee. Contact the Acenda team for a quote based on your channels and systems.

Connecting Amazon in Acenda

Already an Acenda customer? Use these steps to add Amazon or to reconnect it.

Before you start: Have the sign-in details for the Amazon Seller Central account you want to connect, and use the same browser for the whole process. You'll sign in to Seller Central and approve Acenda's access during setup.

Step 1: Add an Amazon integration (new sellers only)

Skip this step if Amazon already appears under Sales Channels on your Integrations page.

  1. Click CHANNELS > Integrations in the sidebar.

  2. Click New in the Sales Channels section.

  3. Select the Amazon Marketplace tile (or Amazon FBA (US) to bring in Amazon-fulfilled orders).

  4. Click Add. You'll see "Sales Channel added successfully" and the new integration appears under Sales Channels.

Note: If Amazon isn't in the list, or you see "There are currently no integrations available to install", your plan has no free Amazon install. Contact Acenda Support to add one.

Step 2: Authorize Acenda in Seller Central

  1. Under Sales Channels, click your Amazon integration (in the list view, click Edit next to it).

  2. Open the Settings tab.

  3. Click Consent in the left-hand menu. It sits below General, Notifications and Actions.

  4. Click Start OAuth Consent Flow. A new browser tab opens an Acenda page that says "Click here to authorize your integration" and continues to Amazon after 5 seconds (or click Sign in).

  5. Sign in to Seller Central.

  6. Review the access Acenda is asking for.

  7. Confirm the authorization.

  8. Amazon sends you back to Acenda, which shows "The Amazon integration has been authorized" for your account. Click Go to Integration, or wait to be redirected.

Good to know: The success message after Amazon is your confirmation. The Consent section keeps showing Start OAuth Consent Flow for Amazon even after you've authorized, so there's no need to run it again. Orders, inventory and listing status start syncing on their normal schedule, so allow a few hours for everything to appear. The Functionality Control section turns price, inventory, order and fulfillment syncs on or off.

Never share your Amazon credentials: Don't send your Seller Central password, LWA Client ID or Client Secret, or refresh tokens to anyone, including Acenda Support. The consent flow connects your account without them.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

  • A red warning icon ("Connection Unhealthy") shows on your Amazon integration: Acenda's calls to Amazon keep failing, usually because the authorization expired or was removed in Seller Central. Open the integration to see the reason in the red "Unhealthy" banner, then run Start OAuth Consent Flow again. The icon clears on its own after the next successful sync.

  • Nothing happens when you click Start OAuth Consent Flow: Your browser may have blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups for the Acenda admin and click the button again.

  • The authorization doesn't finish, or you land back without the success message: Run the flow again from start to finish in the same browser, and sign in to the Seller Central account you want to connect.

  • Stock isn't reaching some Amazon listings: Acenda matches listings by SKU. If your Amazon seller SKU is different from your Acenda SKU (for example, it has an extra suffix), add an alias on the item for your Amazon integration. See Understanding Aliases.

  • Amazon shows fewer units than Acenda: Check your inventory floor under Settings > Inventory Configuration. Acenda holds those units back on purpose. See How to set an inventory floor for a marketplace.

  • Amazon orders are waiting on SKUs that "do not exist": The order's SKU doesn't match any Acenda item or alias. See Orders Need Attention: SKUs that do not exist.

  • You need to cancel an Amazon order: Cancel it in Seller Central. The cancellation syncs back into Acenda automatically. For how cancellations work in Acenda, see How to cancel an order in Acenda Admin.

  • A listing is suppressed or missing information on Amazon: Amazon reports listing problems in Seller Central, not on Acenda's Item Issues screens. Fix them in Seller Central.
