How do I edit users in-line in the Admin Portal?

Edit individual user profile fields directly from the User Management table for one-off or unique changes.

Use in-line editing in the ANVL Admin Portal when you need to make a small, targeted change to a single user directly from the User Management table. In-line edits apply immediately to the live account.

This is best for one-off, low-risk changes. If you need to make the same change for multiple users, use Bulk Update Users instead.


Steps

  1. Open ANVL Insights.

  2. Select Welcome, [Your Name].

  3. Select Admin Portal.

  4. In the Admin Portal, open User Management (default page).

  5. Use search or filters to locate the user.

  6. Click directly into the editable field you want to change.

  7. Update the value.

  8. Select Save to apply the change or Cancel to discard it.

  9. Wait for the updates to process. You will see a small window for each user pop up in the right-hand corner. Wait for the pop-ups to stop.

  10. Verify changes were successful in the Successful Submissions table.

  11. Click Refresh or refresh the browser page.

  12. Confirm changes were successful.

Editable fields include:

  • First Name / Last Name

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Preferred Language

  • Status

  • Supervisor

  • Roles and Special Rights

Some fields are not editable, such as:

  • User ID

  • Sub / UUID

  • Username

  • Organization ID

  • Created / Updated timestamps
