🎯Why It Matters

Bulk user creation enables consistent, scalable onboarding across the organization while reducing manual setup and data entry errors.

Correct configuration during bulk creation ensures:

  • Accurate access and permissions

  • Proper Group (Site) assignment

  • Clean reporting and hierarchy alignment

⏱️When to Do This

  • Onboarding multiple new employees or contractors

  • Migrating users from another system

  • Standing up users for new Sites (Groups)

  • Performing large-scale access changes during rollout

🛠️Steps: Bulk Create Users

  1. Navigate to Bulk User Creation.

  2. Download the provided CSV template.

  3. Enter one row per user, completing all required fields.

    • Refer to User Fields Reference for field definitions and formats.

  4. Save the file as a .csv.

  5. Upload or drag and drop the CSV file into the Bulk User Creation tool.

  6. Review the rows in the validation table.

  7. Correct any issues directly in the table, if needed, and select Save.

  8. Select Submit to create the users.

  9. Verify the new users in the User Management tab.
Tip: Sort on the Created at column to see the most recently created users at the top.

What Can Be Set During Bulk User Creation

Depending on your configuration, you can set:

  • Name and contact information

  • Username and email (SSO-linked if applicable)

  • Product access (ANVL Mobile, ANVL Manager)

  • Group (Site) assignments

  • Supervisor relationships

  • Status (Active / Inactive)

  • Tags and metadata

For full field definitions and edit rules, see User Fields Reference.

⚠️Watch Out For…

  • Bulk uploads are full-field replacements per column—blank values may overwrite existing data.

  • Supervisor assignments require valid User IDs (UUIDs).

  • Supervisors must belong to all Groups assigned to their direct reports.

  • Invalid formats (email, UUIDs, Group IDs) will cause submission errors.

  • Special Rights (Workflow Management, Super Admin, Risk Insights) must be assigned carefully to avoid over-provisioning.

What You Should See
