How do I bulk update users in ANVL?

Use Bulk Update Users in the ANVL Admin Portal when you need to update the same fields for multiple users at once. Bulk updates apply immediately to live accounts.

Bulk update works as a field-level replace:

  • any field you enter will overwrite the current value for every selected user

  • any field you leave blank will keep its existing value

This makes bulk update powerful, but it also means you should review values carefully before submitting.

You can bulk update fields such as:

  • Supervisor

  • Preferred Language

  • Phone Number

  • Roles (ADMIN and/or TECH)

  • Special Rights, where permitted

  • User Tags

  • Status (Active / Inactive)


Steps

  1. Open ANVL Insights.

  2. Select Welcome, [Your Name].

  3. Select Admin Portal.

  4. In the Admin Portal, open User Management (default page).

  5. Filter or search to locate the users.

  6. Select the checkbox next to each user to update.

  7. Select Bulk Update Users

  8. Enter values for the fields you want to update

    1. Supervisor

      • Enter the Supervisor’s User ID (UUID)

      • Do not enter the supervisor’s name or email

    2. Phone Number

      • Enter numbers only

      • Do not include spaces, dashes, parentheses, or special characters

    3. User Tags

      • Use the format: tag:value

      • Example: Job Title:Foreman

      • Multiple tags must be entered as comma-separated tag:value pairs

  9. Leave fields blank to keep existing values

  10. Select Update

  11. Wait for the updates to process. You will see a small window for each user pop up in the right-hand corner. Wait for the pop-ups to stop.

  12. Verify changes were successful in the Successful Submissions table.

  13. Click Refresh or refresh the browser page.

  14. Confirm changes were successful
