Primary Role: Business Administrator (BA)
Focus: Apply

Where: Admin Portal

🧭 Before You Start (Important)

  • Requires Business Administrator access

  • ⚠️Inactivation applies **immediately** to live user accounts⚠️

  • Bulk inactivation cannot be undone in bulk

  • Users must be re-activated individually if access is needed again

  • Users with Supervisor status cannot be bulk inactivated. If a user must be removed from the system, Supervisor status must be cleared first.

🎯 Why It Matters

  • Inactive users lose all platform access

  • Supports offboarding, leave of absence, or access cleanup

  • Prevents unintended access by inactive users

⏱️When to Do This

  • Offboarding users

  • Temporarily disabling access

  • Removing access for inactive or duplicate accounts

⚠️When Bulk Inactivation Will Fail

Bulk inactivation cannot proceed if one or more selected users are classified as Supervisors.

If you see the error:

one_or_more_users_are_supervisors

You must remove Supervisor status before retrying the bulk inactivation.

🛠️Steps: Bulk Inactivate Users

  1. Open the User Management tab in the ANVL Admin Portal.

  2. Filter or search to locate the users.

  3. Select the checkbox next to each user to inactivate.

  4. Select Inactivate Users (bulk action).

  5. Wait for the updates to process. You will see a small window for each user pop up in the right-hand corner. Wait for the pop-ups to stop.

  6. Verify changes were successful in the Successful Submissions table.
Follow the steps in Verify User Update Results & Resolve Errors

  7. Click Refresh or refresh the browser page.

  8. Confirm the Status for each inactivated user is now INACTIVE
Tip: sort by the Updated at column to see the most recently updated users

👀What You Should See

  • User status updated to 'Inactive'

  • Inactivated users unable to access ANVL
