In Transactions you see every transaction with all its details and can change it: set a label, merge or split transactions, correct values, delete or copy them. Almost everything can be undone if you know where.

Click a transaction to open all its details:
ℹ️ Good to know: How your balance develops after each transaction (ledger) and how Blockpit values it for tax purposes is shown in the extended details.
Editing transactions
Before you change transactions, bring your data up to date:
ℹ️ In the Dashboard (tab Integrations), click 🟩 Sync All and then 🟧 Calculation in the sidebar. Only then do tips and values show the current state.
Labeling and merging
Labels classify a transaction for tax purposes. You merge matching deposits and withdrawals into a Trade or Transfer.
1️⃣ One transaction: Click the small arrow on the label and choose the right one, or open the transaction’s sidebar.
2️⃣ Several identical transactions: Select them and choose the label in the action bar (bulk labeling).
3️⃣ Link a withdrawal and a deposit: Select both counterparts and choose Merge Transactions.
Undo: You can change a label again at any time. Split merged transactions with Split Transaction.
Many transactions at once
When you select several transactions, the action bar appears at the bottom. Use it to label them together; via its three-dot menu (⋮) you set the review status (Mark as Reviewed, Mark for Review, Unmark), edit all of them (Edit All) or delete them. You do not mark assets as spam there, but one by one.
💡 Tip: To label, select either only incoming or only outgoing transactions. With a mixed selection, Blockpit shows no labels.
Editing a single transaction
Via Edit in the three-dot menu you change the label, date, asset, amount, Fee, transaction ID and other details.
View and reset changes
Every change to a transaction is saved. You find it in the extended details under Edits. With Reset Transaction you restore the originally imported state.
⚠️ Attention: You must first separate merged trades, transfers or token migrations with Split Transaction before you can reset them. Exception: If an integration already imported the transaction as a Trade, Transfer or Token Migration, you cannot split it but reset it directly.
Splitting transactions
Split Transaction breaks a Trade or Transfer back into withdrawal and deposit, for example if you merged two wrong halves. Trades that an exchange integration imported automatically cannot be split.
Deleting transactions
Delete normally (formerly “exclude”)
Delete Transaction removes a transaction from the tax calculation. It is not gone, though: With the filter View = Deleted you find it again and can recover it or delete it permanently. You delete several transactions via the action bar.
Uploading the same file again does not bring back transactions you deleted normally: Blockpit recognizes them as duplicates and skips them. Recover them via the filter instead.
Delete permanently
⚠️ Attention: You cannot recover permanently deleted transactions. For synced integrations, a re-sync (Sync Missing Transactions) brings them back; for manual integrations, nothing does. So only delete spam normally or mark it as spam, otherwise the next re-sync imports it again.
Updating asset values
Blockpit usually detects values automatically. If a price is missing or wrong, correct it via Update Asset Values in the three-dot menu. Use the market price at the time of the transaction.
Copying transactions
With Copy Transaction you create a new transaction based on an existing one, handy for recurring events. In the sidebar, adjust the details and click Save.
Typical mistakes
✗ Permanently deleting a transaction that was only a duplicate → no way back if you needed it after all. Deleting normally is enough.
✗ Selecting incoming and outgoing transactions together to label them → the label selection does not appear.
✗ Trying to reset a merged transaction → split it first, then reset.
