Send Event Posts as the Host or Visiting School

Learn how to write an event post, choose its recipients as the host or visiting school, and send it.

Any school listed on an event can send a post from the event's Posts tab, whether or not it's hosting. Use posts to update fans, coaches, and ADs about the event.

Who you can send to depends on your school's role. The host school can reach every school on the event. A visiting school can reach only its own people: the parents, fans, and students who follow its teams, its teams' coaches, and its ADs.

Compose and Send an Event Post

  1. Go to Events and find the event.

  2. Click the envelope button next to the event, then click View Posts. The event's Posts tab opens in a new tab.

  3. Click Compose Post.

  4. Under 1 Content, enter a Subject and Body.

    • To start from a template, such as Game-day info or Arrival and parking, choose one in Start from a template.

    • Action Link, Main Image, and Allow Reply to your email are optional.

    • Who can see this post in Manager sets whether the other schools on the event can read the post on its Posts tab. It doesn't send the post to them.

  5. Click 2 Recipients and check the groups to send to: AD's, AD Assistants, Coaches, or Team Followers.

    • If your school is hosting, the groups include every school on the event, and Team Followers includes followers of every team.

    • If your school isn't hosting, the groups include only your school and your teams, and a note at the top says so. Check Team Followers to update everyone who follows your teams in this event.

    • Expand a group to see each school's contacts. For Team Followers, you see how many there are, but not their names.

    • To reach anyone else, such as booster club officers, enter up to 25 addresses in Additional Emails, separated by commas.

  6. To attach files, click 3 Attachments, then Choose Files. Attachments are included in emails only and must be images (PNG, JPG, or GIF) or PDFs.

  7. Click 4 Send, review the preview, and click Send Message. The email is branded with your school's name and logo.

Tip: To write a post without leaving Events, click the envelope button, then Compose Post. The post form opens in a pop-up window.

Who Each School Can Reach

Visiting school: its own ADs and AD assistants, its own teams' coaches, and the people following its own teams.

Host school: ADs and AD assistants from every school on the event, every team's coaches and followers, and the event's officials and workers.

Association that governs the event: the same groups as the host school.

Every school can use Additional Emails.
