Overview
You can now save an Estimator's Signature to your Chariot user profile and have it display on the customer-facing Estimate alongside the customer's signature line. This is useful for:
Meeting state requirements that the carrier or estimator countersign the estimate
Adding a more personal, professional touch to estimates sent to customers
Standardizing how signatures appear across your team's estimates
Each user saves their own signature, and the signature shown on a given estimate is pulled from the Sales Owner of the job.
Saving Your Estimator Signature
Each user on your team needs to save their own signature from their account.
Go to Settings → Estimate Formats
Scroll to the Your Estimator Signature to Display on Estimates section at the bottom of the page
Sign in the signature box, then save
Use Replace Signature to update it later, or Remove to clear it
Each user must save their own Estimator Signature from their own login. Signatures are tied to the individual user, not the company.
Showing the Signature by Default on a Format
To have the Estimator Signature display on every estimate using a given Format:
Go to Settings → Estimate Formats
Click the pencil icon to edit the Format you want to update
Under Sales Person Info, check Show Estimator's Signature
Click Save
Toggling the Signature on a Specific Estimate
You can also turn the Estimator Signature on or off for an individual job—useful when a particular estimate calls for a different setup than your default Format.
Open the Estimate tab on the lead
Click the FORMAT button
Toggle Show Estimator's Signature on or off
Click Submit to apply the change to this estimate
Changes here only affect the current estimate—they won't update the underlying Estimate Format.
What the Customer Sees
When the Estimator Signature is enabled on an estimate, the customer will see a Signature of Carrier / Moving Company / Estimator block on the customer-facing estimate, displaying the Sales Owner's saved signature.
When the Signature Won't Display
Even with Show Estimator's Signature enabled, the signature will not appear on the estimate if either of the following is true:
There is no Sales Owner assigned to the job
The Sales Owner has not saved a signature in their Estimate Formats settings
If you've enabled the setting and the signature isn't showing, check both of these first.
