Resending an Estimate After a Job Is Booked

Need to send a new or updated estimate after booking? Here's how to do it without disrupting the job.

Once a job is booked, you can still send updated estimates to the customer — whether you're adjusting the scope, correcting a charge, or the customer needs a fresh copy to re-sign.

Sending an updated estimate after booking

To modify the estimate and resend it:

  1. Open the job from your Leads & Jobs dashboard

  2. Go to the Estimate tab on the job page

  3. Edit Estimate -- make your changes (update charges, hours, notes, etc.)

  4. Once you're done, click Send Estimate to email the updated version to the customer

The customer will receive a new email with a fresh signing link. Any prior estimate links will still reflect the older version — make sure to let the customer know to use the new email.

Resending the same estimate (no changes)

If the estimate hasn't changed and you just need to resend the signing link:

  1. Open the job and go to the Estimate tab

  2. Click Send Estimate — this sends the current estimate again to the customer's email on file

This is useful when a customer says they lost the email or the original link isn't working.

The customer already signed — do I need to resend?

If the job is booked and the estimate is already signed, you only need to resend if something material changed (charges, dates, scope). For minor informational updates, you can communicate those directly via the Messages tab instead.

If you do make changes to a signed estimate and resend, the job will move back to a pending/unsigned state until the customer signs the new version.
