Reviewing and Stopping Automations on a Lead or Job

How to see which automations are running on a lead or job, and how to manually stop them on individual records

Every lead and job in Chariot has an Automations tab once the Automation Engine is enabled. This tab shows you exactly which automations have touched that record and what actions have been taken or are pending.

To view it:

  1. Open the lead or job record in Chariot.

  2. At the top, click on the Automations tab.

  3. You'll see a list of automations the record is currently enrolled in, along with the status of each action: completed, pending, skipped, or stopped.

Within the Automations tab, you can also view the Action History section to see a full log of every action taken, including what action was taken, when, who it was assigned to (for tasks), and which automation triggered it.

Manually Stopping an Automation on a Specific Lead or Job

There are situations where you'll want to stop an automation for an individual record without turning off the automation entirely — for example, when a customer replies to your follow-up and you've already made contact, or when someone asks to stop receiving messages.

To stop an automation for a specific record:

  1. Open the lead or job record.

  2. Go to the Automations tab.

  3. Find the automation you want to stop.

  4. Click Stop for that automation.

This cancels any pending future actions for that record without affecting other enrolled leads or the automation as a whole.

Tip: Stopping an automation on a job is the recommended action when a customer replies to an automated message, when a deal is already moving forward, or when a customer requests no further contact. It's good practice to check the Automations tab any time you pick up a conversation with a lead that's in an active sequence.
