1. Download the ClassCover App
ClassCover works best on mobile, and most casuals use it this way.
📲 To get started:
Head to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and download the latest version of the ClassCover app.
Once it's downloaded, sign up to create your free ClassCover profile and you're good to go!
You’ll use the app to manage availability, receive booking requests, and update your profile – anytime, anywhere.
2. Create and Complete Your ClassCover Profile
Think of your profile as your digital CV – it's your first impression with schools and schools use it to decide who to book. Ensure it's complete and up-to-date:
On mobile:
Tap the ☰ Menu → Account & Settings → Profile
Add or update:
Teaching levels, subjects, and qualifications
Bio and experience
Relevant certifications (WWCC, NESA, etc.)
A professional-looking photo
Optional: Upload a CV
💡 Tip: Incomplete profiles are less likely to be booked. Pages 3–4 in the Starter Pack walk you through every field.
3. Update Your Availability
Keeping your availability up to date helps schools know when you’re ready to work and avoids missed opportunities.
On Mobile App: Tap on the ‘Calendar’ tab, choose dates, and update your status accordingly.
On Desktop: Navigate to the ‘My Calendar’ tab, select dates, and set your availability status.

💡 Pro Tip: Avoid leaving dates as “Hasn't Indicated” – schools may not include you on booking requests if they don’t know you’re available.
4. Connect with Schools
To receive bookings, you need to be on a school's list:
Use Find New Schools in the app to send requests
Accept invitations from schools who contact you
The more lists you join, the more opportunities you'll see!
Proactively connecting with schools creates a great first impression and increases your chances of getting booked.

5. Accept Bookings Quickly
Most bookings are competitive and are sent to multiple casuals on a school's list at once – with the first to accept usually getting the job.
Here's how to stay ahead:
Turn on push notifications so you’re alerted instantly (this is the fastest way to respond).
When a booking comes through, tap the notification to open the request.
Review the details, then tap Accept or Decline.

6. Understand the Booking Process
Familiarise yourself with how bookings work:
Booking Types: Regular, Flexi, and Pre-confirmed bookings.
Notifications: How and when you'll be notified.
